History
Briton Fabricators Ltd was established in 1973 by Mr Tony Bontoft and began fabricating oil refinery steelwork out of a 200m² workshop in Kirkby-in-Ashfield.
In 1978 after growing the business, Britons moved to our current Plant 1 at Hucknall, Nottingham starting with a 450m² bay and began production of Bridges & Gantries fabricating our first gantry for M25 J1.
Briton Fabricators quickly became a trusted and substantial supplier of Infrastructure Steelwork allowing expansion of its workshop to a second bay in 1980 increasing floorspace to over 900m². Britons developed into a market leading fabrication specialist of Bridges & Gantries resulting in further expansion to a third bay in the early nineties improving floorspace to 1600m².
From this point Britons began diversifying into steelwork construction including stations steelwork, airport links and blast proof barriers. To meet the increased demand, Britons built a further extension in 2007 for use as a prep shop. With the ability to bulk produce MS3, MS4 and Gantries in short timescales, Britons decided to expand to our current Plant 2 and Head Office in Huthwaite, Nottingham in 2009.
Pushing turnover through £11m and uncapped capability, Briton Fabricators Ltd are the quality approach to innovative steel solutions.
